More About Kate
Kate came to counselling and kinesiology, and discovered the benefits they offer, at a particularly difficult time in her life. In 2004 her mother was diagnosed with cancer, and this coincided with a period in which she felt unhappy and generally dissatisfied with her direction in life.
Seeking some help and answers, Kate undertook counselling and also had several kinesiology sessions. She was so impressed with the results that she decided to learn the tools and techniques used so that she could help others through similarly difficult times.
According to Kate, the knowledge and awareness she gained through her counselling and kinesiology studies has made a profound difference to the quality of her relationships with friends and family, and has helped her establish new and fulfilling directions in life.
Through these steps Kate was prepared to embark on a new path that would allow her to pursue her passion for mind-body healing. In 2008 she resigned from the public service, where she was working in international development, to establish her practice.
From her consulting rooms in O’Connor, Kate works to support others to improve the quality of their lives through balancing mind and body, offering services as a counsellor and kinesiologist to individuals, couples and families. Kate also holds emotional healing group workshops in Canberra, Adelaide and Melbourne and works as a facilitator at Phoenix Rising emotional healing group workshops. Kate is a registered Touch for Health Instructor and a professional member of the Australian Kinesiology Association.
While this is her passion, Kate also works as a gender and development consultant, regularly travelling overseas to work on aid projects helping to improve the lives of women and children living in developing countries.
